           Basil is a very important and useful plant.  Basil is worshiped in Hindu families.  In Ayurveda, every part of the basil plant is said to be beneficial for health.  The root of Basil, its branches, leaves and seeds all have their own importance.  Generally, there are two types of Basil seen in homes.  One whose leaves have a slightly darker color and the other whose leaves have a lighter color.


 Get rid of stomach problems: Chew five leaves of basil on an empty stomach and eat it to get rid of stomach problems.  It does not produce gas nor causes bloating.  This makes the digestive system strong.


 In case of diarrhea: Basil has amazing ability to eliminate small diseases to incurable diseases.  If you are suffering from diarrhea then treatment of basil leaves will benefit you.  Grind the basil leaves mixed with cumin seeds.  After this, keep licking it 3-4 times a day.  Diarrhea stops by doing this.

 Special in winter: If you have a cold or mild fever, cook the decoction by cooking sugar candy, black pepper and basil leaves well in water.  If you want, you can make tablets and eat them.



 To relieve bad breath: Basil leaves help in removing mouth infection due to its anti-bacterial properties.  Basil leaves are also very beneficial in removing bad breath and due to being natural, it does not have any side effects.  If your mouth smells bad, chew some basil leaves.  Doing this causes foul smell.

 In the problem of irregular periods: Women often complain of irregularities in periods.  In this case, using basil seeds is beneficial.  Basil leaves can also be regularized to remove irregularity of the menstrual cycle.
